This study focuses on the fracture characteristics of Cu6Sn5 and Cu3Sn micro beams under micro-cantilever bending tests. These micro beams were fabricated by focused ion beam (FIB) from the Sn-rich solder joints aged at 175 °C for 1132.5 h, and then tested using a nanoindenter with a flat tip. Experimental results show that both Cu6Sn5 and Cu3Sn micro beams underwent elastic deformation before their failure. From fractographic analysis, both cleavage fracture and intergranular fracture can be identified from the tested Cu6Sn5 micro beams, while only intergranular fracture was found in Cu3Sn micro beams. Furthermore, based on the experimental results, finite element analysis was carried out to evaluate the tensile fracture strength and strain of Cu6Sn5 and Cu3Sn micro beams. For Cu6Sn, the tensile fracture strength was estimated to be 1.13 ± 0.04 Pa and the average tensile strain was 0.01. The tensile fracture strength and strain of Cu3Sn were evaluated to be 2.15 ± 0.19 GPa and 0.016, respectively. 相似文献

We investigated the properties of strange quark matter in an external strong magnetic field with both confinement and leading-order perturbative interactions considered. It was found that the leading-order perturbative interaction can stiffen the equation of state of magnetized quark matter, while the magnetic field lowers the minimum energy per baryon. By solving the Tolman–Oppenheimer–Volkoff equations, we obtain the internal structure of strange stars. The maximum mass of strange stars can be as large as 2 times the solar mass. 相似文献

The properties of polypropylene (PP) mixed with masterbatch (MB) and liquid color concentrates (LCC), respectively, were compared by preparing samples of PP with MB and PP with LCC and neat PP as a reference material using 1–4 extrusion cycles. Two colors were examined, i.e., a white color consisting of pigment white 6, and a green color consisting of pigment white 6, pigment blue 15:3, and pigment green 7. The color difference between PP prepared with MB and LCC was determined and the mechanical, rheological, and crystalline properties of PP prepared with MB and LCC were found to be generic. The color of PP obtained from MB and LCC were comparable. Further, it was found that the tensile strength, the viscosity, and the crystal structure obtained were similar when using LCC instead of MB. The viscosity of the treated PP generally decreased with increasing extruder retention time due to thermal degradation. Testing analog and mixed-signal circuits is a costly task due to the required test time targets and high end technical resources. Indirect testing methods partially address these issues providing an efficient solution using easy to measure CUT information that correlates with circuit performances. In this work, a multiple specification band guarding technique is proposed as a method to achieve a test target of misclassified circuits. The acceptance/rejection test regions are encoded using octrees in the measurement space, where the band guarding factors precisely tune the test decision boundary according to the required test yield targets. The generated octree data structure serves to cluster the forthcoming circuits in the production testing phase by solely relying on indirect measurements. The combined use of octree based encoding and multiple specification band guarding makes the testing procedure fast, efficient and highly tunable. The proposed band guarding methodology has been applied to test a band-pass Butterworth filter under parametric variations. Promising simulation results are reported showing remarkable improvements when the multiple specification band guarding criterion is used. 相似文献

The effect of applied electric field on the electronic properties of spherical ZnSe/ZnS core/shell nanocrystals of experimentally relevant size is investigated by the atomistic tight-binding theory. Using this model, the calculations show that a range of electronic properties, including the single-particle spectra, atomistic characters, charge densities, excitonic energies, ground-state coulomb energies, overlaps of the electron and hole wave functions and oscillation strengths, all depend on the strengths of the applied electric field. The spatial distributions of the electron and hole wave functions are induced by the applied electric field. The analysis demonstrates a clear manipulation of the electronic properties of ZnSe/ZnS core/shell nanocrystals by introducing and varying the applied electric field strengths. According to the comprehensive investigations, I suppose that these atomistic computations will be of prospective help for experimental works concentrated on the new optoelectronic devices based on the applied electric field. 相似文献

This study demonstrates that appropriate measurement procedures can detect differences in head movement in a near reading task when using three different progressive addition lenses (PALs). The movements were measured using an anatomical reference system with a biomechanical rationale. This reference system was capable of representing rotations for comparing head flexion relative to trunk, head flexion relative to neck, head rotation relative to trunk and trunk flexion. The subject sample comprised 31 volunteers and three PAL designs with different viewing zones were selected. Significant differences were found between the lenses for three of the seven movement parameters examined. The differences occurred for both vertical and horizontal head movements and could be attributed to aspects of the PAL design. The measurement of the complete kinematic trunk–neck–head chain improved the number of differences that were found over those in previous studies. Statement of Relevance: The study proposes a methodology based on a biomechanical rationale able to differentiate head–neck–trunk posture and movements caused by different progressive addition lens designs with minimum invasiveness. This methodology could also be applied to analyse the ergonomics of other devices that restrict the user's field of view, such as helmets, personal protective equipment or helmet-mounted displays for pilots.
